The Gapphof through the ages
The Gapphof in Lagundo was once a small, historic farm owned by the Waldner family. It was, however, always farmed by a farmhand. In 2009, we started to completely redesign the farm. With the exception of the cellar, some of which dates back to the 12th century, everything has been renovated. The rustic character of the old house still remains unchanged. Windows and balconies are still in the same place as they originally were.
Since 2009, we – Clio, Christian and little Lara – also live on the farm.
When we started renting holiday apartments, Karin – Christian’s mother – ran the apartments. But it wasn’t long before everything passed into the hands of her son (farming) and her daughter-in-law Clio (holiday apartments. Since then, something new has been created every year. Be it improvements in the cellar or additions to the garden – we always have new surprises in store.
Now, after 10 years, the holiday homes are being converted and farming has been in the form of an organic apple farm since 2019.
